Startup Tuedays to Host Seminar on Ecosystem Engagement
Start-up company executives face enormous pressure to deliver results, typically under very strict budgetary constraints. Many startup executives take too limited a view of their company stakeholders, causing them to overlook significant opportunities to create value. David Harris, a business development and strategic marketing executive with 15 years global experience, will discuss approaches that start-up executives can use to survey their competitive landscape and identify ‘hidden’ opportunities to leverage stakeholder resources and unlock strategic value.

David is a strategic business development and marketing communications professional with over 15 years experience in North America and Asia. He has developed and delivered marketing, business development and communications programs for SME’s and global companies in the IT, energy and media sectors. Clients have included Enron Canada, Huawei Technologies and Mangocity.com.
David is the founder and managing director of Optimus Management, an active investment and strategic advisory firm. He is presently engaged as business development director with new materials start-up Vecor Limited, and serves as chairman of an industry trade association. David graduated with a Political Science degree from Brock University in Canada. He has been based in Asia since 2000, and active in investment, business development and communications roles in Greater China since 2002. David spends his time between Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Beijing China. He is a native of Toronto, Canada and speaks conversational mandarin Chinese.
