Huawei Technologies Chairwoman among World’s Most Influential Businesswoman List
Shenzhen based Huawei Technologies Chairwoman Sun Yafang is among the world’s 50 most influential businesswomen according to US magazine Fortune. Yafang is one of the seven Chinese businesswomen ranked by the magazine’s annual international list of the 50 Most Powerful Women in Business. Sun Yafang ranks 18th and is followed by Dong Mingzhu the Chairwoman for Zhuhai based Gree Electric appliance in 30th place than Wang Fenying president of Great Wall Motors in 36th place.
Sun Yafang earned her degree at the University of Electric Science and Technology of China. Then in 1982 she started working for Xin Fei Manufactory as a technician, and in 1985 she became an engineer at the Beijing Research Institution of Communication Technology. Sun started working for Huawei in 1989 and became the chairwoman for the corporation in 1999.
Liu Yang the chairwoman for Atlantis Investment Management Group made it to the list for the first time and took the 48th spot. The remaining Chinese businesswomen who made the list two of them hails from Hong Kong and one is from Taiwan.
