City Import and Export Reached Record High in September
According to data released by the Shenzhen Customs shows the city import and exports have reached a record high of US$ 41 billion last month. This shows a 22 percent increase from September of 2011. It also showed a one year growth rate of 6.3 percent greater than August.
And with Christmas fast approaching experts will see an increase in demand as the city’s foreign trade is rebounding last September. Even when last month processing trade exports have dropped by 1.1 percent year on year with a rate of decrease of 2.8 percent less than August and the smallest decrease in the second half of the year.
Furthermore the city general trade exports have also rebounded from the decline in summer and rose 3 percent in September. Plus during the first three quarters of this year the city foreign trade exceeded US$ 332 billion which maintained a lead in large and medium domestic cities. While exports of labor intensive products like clothes, toys, shoes and furniture saw a decline in the first three quarters of this year.
