City to Build more Care Center for the Elderly
The city is planning to built at least one daytime care center for the elderly in every sub district across the city by 2015. Furthermore the city legislature have already approved a plan that highlighted 15 model centers that the new daytime center will be based on.
The center will be providing care services to the elderly which includes nursing and recovery treatment, psychological consultation, and meals to all seniors whose families can’t or unable to take care of them in the daytime can to elderly who are also unable to look after themselves. More facilities will be added such as community clinics which will provide the elderly with simple medical services, recovery treatments and general care.
Also private enterprises are encouraged to look into investing in the service organizations that will take care of the elderly and subsidies will be provided to these private companies that will invest in any non profit senior centers or any related service facilities. Currently there are 30 senior centers in the city providing more than 4,000 beds which is far more than the city demands.
