Heavy Fogs Cause Airports to Divert FlightsSeveral flights into Shenzhen were diverted and landed in airports in Zhuhai and Guangzhou because of low visibility that was caused by heavy fog accompanied with rain.

According to Shenzhen airport authorities said that flights out of Shenzhen were not affected and flights toGuangzhouwere diverted and landed in Shenzhen from midnight to 2 am as the fog moved and changed its pattern. Shenzhen had the lowest visibility yesterday at 300 meters happened in the morning rush hour as warm air currents combined with the cold front created mist and rain that reduced visibility. The city Meteorological Observatory that the mist and rain will last from several days.

The city will also be chilly with cold fronts with temperatures dropping below ten degrees Celsius. Residents are reminded to keep warm and to ventilate bathrooms when taking showers to avoid carbon monoxide poisoning created by water heaters.
