Administrative Approval Items to Undergo Adjustment
A new round of adjustments are being planned by the city government to more than 90 administrative approval items which involves 22 government departments focusing on transportation, public security, education, market supervision and human resources.
Several approval requirements will be abolished, the move will come a few weeks after the Guangdong Province was chosen to pilot the reform in the administrative approval system. Two days after, provincial leaders also announced the goals for the reform during Monday meeting. The State Council gave Guangdong the go signal to pilot the reform I a bid to be the leading province in terms of service efficiency, transparent approval procedures and low administrative costs.
All hukou related administrative approval under Shenzhen applying to transfer hukou to Shenzhen and granting hukou to newborns is now part of the administration services. Related agencies will then assist applicants to finish all necessary procedures as long applicants has all necessary documents thus increasing administrative efficiency.
Eleven administrative approval items that are facing abolishment are software product registrations, health permits for establishing health food companies, including qualification reviews of high-tech companies applying to move into industrial parks, and demolition permits for urban housing.
So far several rounds of reform were undertaken of the administrative approval system thus making Shenzhen the leading city in Guangdong in this area. Furthermore the plans will be submitted to the standing committee for review.
