Shenzhen Plans to Build the Largest Creative ParkA creative park project was launched in Buji Longgang district yesterday that is said to become the largest of its kind in Shenzhen once it’s completed next year. The design plaza will have a total construction area of 500,000 square meters or the equivalent of 70 soccer fields. The first phase of its construction will cover 180,000 square meters and will be completed in May of 2013 that will house more than 200 design companies and organizations.

The first phase of the project’s main building will have a basement and seven floors. The basement and first two floors provide office space for banks, restaurants and convenience stores. The next two floors will house furnishing design companies, the fifth and sixth floors will house brand name enterprises and the seventh floor will serve as a public service platform for the creative design industry.

Preferential policies will be offered to companies and organizations setting up offices in the park such as discounted furnishings and rent. So far more than 30 design companies along with several organizations have already signed contracts for office spaces in the creative park.
