Travelers Can Start Buying Tickets for Trips Departing Shenzhen East Railway StationRailway authority are advising residents and passengers who purchased tickets for train trips departing from Shenzhen East Railway Station must collect their tickets from counters at other train stations or at outlets selling tickets found around the city until the opening of the station on December 21st.

Passengers and travelers can also purchase tickets from the new station going to Shanghai, Tianjin, Kunming, Wuchang, Jinan, Changde and Nanning through phone, by dialing 12306 or visiting China’s Railway service website www.12306.cn. The new station is in its final stage of preparation, tickets sales for long distance trains from the station started selling yesterday through phone and online 12 days prior to the station’s first departures. Ticket counters from other stations and ticket outlets will start selling tickets tomorrow.

The Shenzhen East Railway Station operates nine long distance train services and one bullet train from Shenzhen and Guangzhou. This will bring the total number of long distance trains to 20.

Railway authorities are reminding passengers that trains formerly handled by Shenzhen Railway Station will be switched to the East Station. The stations will have three ticket halls and a waiting hall.
