Player Makes 75 points in One Game the Highest in CBA’s History
Quincy Douby made CBA history as he help Zhejiang Chouzhou win against Shanxi Zhongyu 154 to 129 at home. Douby showed no mercy as he scored 75 points the highest one game total in the history if the Chinese Basketball Association and breaking the record of 71 points previously held by Andre Emmett of Shandong Gold against Jiangsu in March of 2010.
Douby hit 25 of his 38 shots which include nine 3 pointers and making 16 of 20 on the free throw line. Douby opened the game by hitting a 3 pointer and built a 36 to 25 lead which they kept until the fourth quarter. Douby was replaced by a substitute with three minutes left in the game ending his night with 75 points and fans chanting MVP.
His play made basketball enthusiast wonder that if he could have topped the 81 points scored in one game by NBA star Kobe Bryant in the 2006-06 NBA season if he was allowed to finish the game.
Douby was not the only one who racked up points in the game as Charles Gaines scored 60 points and made 29 rebounds for Shanxi Zhongyu.
