Local Job Seekers to Look for Work Before the Start of the Holidays
As the Spring Festival approaches local job seekers started looking for new jobs against the slack demand in the labor market. Recent reports have shown that a number of job seekers in job fairs have risen 60 percent compared to last year.
These numbers showed that in this year’s job hunting will be peaking earlier as expected as contrast with the labor market’s trend in seeing it’s busiest in the post holiday season. Another report have shown that 40 percent of workers chose to spend the Spring Festival holiday in Shenzhen rather than going home citing several reasons such as to save the cost of the travel, the challenges of getting a ticket and in securing a new job before the post holiday application rush.
These workers staying behind to save on traveling expenses and would go home after the holiday rush since there is lesser traffic. A study was also made that shows 62 percent of workers will get better paying jobs once they returned from their holiday travel.
