Shenzhen High School Offers Pre College Courses Programs
Shenzhen middle school students are given the opportunity to take pre-college courses ranging from electromagnetic, calculus, ancient Chinese culture, college chemistry and general Chinese history. The school is one among the 20 high schools across the country that was chosen to take part in the pre-college class program which is organized by the Peking University.
Vice director of the teaching affairs office of the school said is the only high school in Shenzhen that is participating in the program where in students can apply for five pre-college courses this week and another 10 will be offered in the fall semester. Peking University will be sending senior professors to teach high school teachers and help them in preparing the right curriculum and lesson plans. As of the moment only ten to fifteen students will be allowed to take each course.
The Peking University program committee is organizing examinations every July that will help them choose candidates for the independent enrollment program that the university offers. Excellent candidates will be exempted from taking certain courses once they are enrolled in the university. The university will also expand their program to Fudan University, Tianjin University, Tsinghua University and Beijing Normal University.
