University Seeks President to Run Shenzhen Campus
The Chinese University of Hong Kong will open its doors next year is now looking for a president to run its Shenzhen campus. Along with a new president the university is also looking to recruit three vice presidents with each one controlling a specific department namely the academic affairs, university administration and external and student affairs.
Salaries offered will be competitive and will be based on the post, the applicant’s qualification and experience. Application or appointments will be done under the establishment of the university and statutory benefits are provided in ordinance of the relevant labor laws in China. Along with the president and three vice presidents, three directors will also be recruited to control campus development, human resources and finance. Applicants can mail their applications to the search committees at Shenzhen Development Office, University Administrative Building in Hong Kong.
The CUHK campus in Shenzhen covers around 100 hectares in Central Longgang and represents collaborations with the Shenzhen municipal government and Shenzhen University which is an important educational cooperation. Renovations around the campus is said to be completed by the end of the year.
The university plans to enroll 7,000 students during its first stage of development then followed by 4,000 more students. The university will be offering bilingual education while focusing on innovative disciplines.
