Patients Willing to Pay More to See Hong Kong Eye Doctors
Around seventy percent of the patients visiting C-Mer (Shenzhen) Dennis Lam Eye Hospital, a hospital that is fully funded by Hong Kong are willing to pay more just to receive treatment from Hong Kong doctors.
As of the moment there are two Hong Kong doctors at the Eye hospital and each are seeing 30 patients a day. The hospital average treatment fee for its founder Dennis Lam is 800 yuan, for Hong Kong doctors is about 600 yuan and 400 yuan for mainland doctors. A discount of 200 yuan is offered until the month of May. According t the hospital there are not allowing the Hong Kong doctors to see more than 30 patients a day and reservations for each doctor usually fills up every day. Meanwhile the four mainland doctors are seeing around four patients a day.
Lam said that there will be offering more training to help improve the skills of their doctors so their mainland doctors can give the same service as the Hong Kong doctors give. And since the hospital opened in March the hospital have already conducted 20 surgeries.
The hospital will also be getting the service of an additional four doctors overseas in July and either doctor got their training in Britain or in the United States.
