Drivers to Enjoy Toll Free Expressways during May Day Holidays
During the May Day holiday this Monday through Wednesday, drivers will be exempted from tolls on regional expressways. Other local expressways namely Jihe, Yanpai, Meiguan, Nanguang, Yanba, Shuiguan and Qingping will also be included in the toll free policy that usually takes effect during national holidays.
Following the Spring festival and Qingming holidays, toll gates will make transitions smoothly by issuing drivers paper cards six hours before the start and the end of the toll free period. Any vehicles that will exit before Monday and after Wednesday will be charged with the usual fees. Passenger vehicles having no more than seven seats will also benefit from the toll free policy.
Transport commission said that all northbound vehicles to use 63.2-km long Boshen Expressway in reaching Heyuan, Jiangxi, Guangzhou, Meizhou and Hunan. Travel peak will occur between 9 a.m.-11 a.m. and 3 p.m.-7 p.m. Monday and on Wednesday.
