Shenzhen Opens New Road during May Day Holiday
During the first day of the May Day holiday, Shenzhen opened the new Bisan Road. Also known as the Biling-Sanzhoutian Road which provided an alternate route going to OCT East avoiding the Meisha area. Drivers can now take Shuiguan expressway or Nanping expressway before they turn to Bisan Road or Hengping Road.
The 5.2 kilometer long road is located at the northern Sanzhoutian which is near the border of Yantian and Longgang districts and the Pingshan New Area. The road links Hengping road in the north and the OCT East in the south. The new road is expected to relieve traffic congestion along Meisha area while promoting tourism in Yantian.
The road is said to greatly improve the traffic system in OCT East through connecting with Henoing Road, Biling Road and the Shenzhen eastern expressway system. To give drivers opportunity to enjoy the views of Maluanshan Mountains and areas along the Pingshan New Area four sightseeing pavilions have been built along the road.
The transportation commission have spent 535 million yuan on infrastructure during the first quarter of this year and they are planning to complete 13 more projects, to continue 26 others and break ground on ten more projects before they year ends.
