Independent Wi-Fi Services to be Installed by Park Management
Eleven new Wi-Fi service facilities are installed in six parks by the city’s park management center. The Wi-Fi services are expected to provide free Wi-Fi to public parks before the year ends. The six parks offering free Wi-Fi are Shenzhen Children’s Park, Shenzhen Central Park, Shenzhen Bay Park, Lianhua Hill Park, Meilin Park and Yangtai Mountain Forest Park.
As of the moment the facilities are being tested and the current free Wi-Fi in several parks drew complaints and was installed through efforts of the center and China Mobile. The joint collaboration provided free Wi-Fi to nine parks. The current Wi-Fi services is slow or sometimes unworkable, and residents were starting to complain on the inaccessibility of the free Wi-Fi services.
The complaints were brought up to China Mobile and were traced to the devices being used that provide the Wi-Fi services. Park management will be building their own Wi-Fi services facilities that will be providing a faster and more reliable internet connection. The center is also advising residents using the free Wi-Fi services to install antivirus programs on their mobile devices to prevent security problems when using an internet service that is open to the public.
