The 9th China International Cultural Industries Fair Opens Today
The 9th China International Cultural Industries Fair at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center starts today and is said to attract around 16,000 overseas buyers and visitors from 91 countries and regions. Organizers said that provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions on the mainland, Macao, Hong Kong and Taiwan will be sending delegates to this year’s fair.
There will be 2,000 plus exhibitors displaying their latest cultural products and technologies and the fair will last until Monday. There are 598 activities prepared for this year’s fair and 444 of these events will be held in 43 sub venues found across the city. The main venues has eight separate halls and each hall having its own theme ranging from cultural industry products, creative living items, TV and films, cultural heritage, paintings, crafts, tourism, gaming products and animation. Business introduction meetings, forums, entertainment performances and art exhibitions will also be held at the venues as well.
The China International Cultural Industries Fair is one of the most important platforms used for introducing Chinese cultural products and services overseas. The cultural industry in Shenzhen is one of the key industries in Shenzhen that is designated for future development. The export volume in the city’s cultural products grew an annual average of 14 percent in the past years and accounts for 20 percent of exports made Shenzhen a major hub for the cultural excports in the country.
