Residents Reminded to Take Precautions Against Hot Weather
The city meteorological observatory is constantly reminding residents to take preventive measures against the heat the city continuous to experience hot weather as temperature reaches 34 degrees Celsius along occasional showers that might help in cooling down the heat.
The 120 observatory stations around the city recorded a yellow alert for heat stroke was issued last Saturday as temperatures in some areas in the city have reached 35 degrees Celsius. The observatory said that the high temperatures were experienced since Wednesday due to the reinforcement of the subtropical high-pressure system in the western pacific.
Last Saturday which was coincidentally Children’s Day and because of the hot weather led families to beaches and water parks and to indoor shopping malls were is cooler. Again residents are reminded to take care in going outside especially those who are suffering from respiratory and cardiovascular diseases.
