Taxi Call Center to be Established to Allow Use of Mobile Taxi App
The city transport commission will be creating a unified taxi service call center that will allow passengers to call for taxis using mobile taxi apps. The call center is said to open before the year ends and mobile apps used for calling taxis in many big cities will be added to the platform and subjected to management.
As of the moment the city does not allow taxi drivers to use the mobile taxi apps due to safety concerns, but drivers are saying that the app is a big help in increasing their income and at the same time allows passengers to look for taxis conveniently. They say the mobile taxi app can be used with the condition of meeting safety and management standards so it will not disrupt the market order.
The app has been proven as a novel thing and has been meeting the market demand and officials are supporting the use of the software, but have also expressed concerns such as the driver being distracted in using the software or disorderly bidding of passengers. Officials say that supervision is needed for the healthy development of the software in the industry.
As of the moment the service is being suspended following and now in talks with local transportation authority in hopes to find a solution.
