Auto Show Garnered More Than 4 Billion Yuan in Signed Contracts
4.33 billion yuan in contracts were signed during the 2013 Shenzhen-Hong Kong-Macao International Auto Show that was held at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. Around 100 car makers from different parts of the world joined the auto show and have exhibited more than 1,200 of the latest models ranging from concept cars to rare and limited edition vehicles.
During the first day of the show more than 30 models from big name car makers such as Ferrari, Rolls Royce, BMW, Porsche, Lamborghini and Maserati which made their Asia Pacific and China debut. This the third largest car shows in China which attracted more than 600,000 visitors locally and abroad.
The annual auto show have helped local consumers in forming a habit of buying cars during the show since they can compare different makers and models all in the same location were car dealers sometimes offer big discounts to buyers. Aston Martin brought their 100 year anniversary flagship model the Vanquish and their latest model the DB9. Lamborghini showed off their convertible model the Aventador LP 700-4 Roaster which was shown the first time in the Asia-Pacific market. Other popular car brands such as Mercedes Benz, BMW and Audi where popular among Chinese consumers that bought several limited edition models.
Also the number of electric and hybrid car models have also increased as more buyers are gaining interest in purchasing green vehicles.
