Shenzhen to Develop Liuxiangdong into a Headquarters BaseCity officials are hoping to develop the Liuxiandong area in Nashan into a headquarters base which is Shenzhen’s version of the Silicon Valley. The 110 hectares of land in Xili offers 800,000 square meters that can be used for industrial purposes. And 3.2 million square meters of floor space that can be developed by the city urban planning and land authorities.

Land that will be set aside for commercial and industrial use will be developed in seven segments. This will include a 440,000 square meter base for ZTE Industrial Park. TCL will also construct an industrial park that will include their global research center. Sanyo Semiconductor Shekou Co. will also create a base and plans to invest 1.1 billion yuan in building their research and development, training and production centers. Four Metro lines will connect the area including the existing Huangzhong line. Development plans also includes building an 18 classroom kindergartens and 45 room school.

Based on the development plan of the Shenzhen High Tech Industrial Park, Liuxiandong is considered as an experimental area of the Shenzhen HongKong Creative Circle Base, a training and research institute for high level professionals and study base of the Hong Kong and Macao Universities.

Liuxiandong is one of the five areas in the city that is being considered to be headquarters focused areas in the next five years together with Futian CBD and Houhai a high tech hub in Shenzhen Bay.
