Survey Helps European Union Discuss Future of Delta Region
In its annual practice of conducting surveys by the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China along with Roland Berger Strategy Consultants showed that European enterprises are optimistic on the future growth and less pessimistic on profitability prospects of the delta region.
The survey was released last May 30 with more than 500 European enterprises including 100 from the Pearl River Delta participating in the survey. But even these results local European enterprises also see the potential of the city to improve their efforts in becoming an international business friendly destination. Shenzhen along with the Pearl River Delta must reinvest itself. For the past thirty years both have been successful but things are changing. Shenzhen needs to attract newer industries and make it easier for foreign industries to invest and do business here just like between Hong Kong and Shenzhen.
Also customs clearance in the city is not business friendly and the city must introduce a more efficient way of transferring executive and manager to and from Hong Kong. Also access to information is important and all government websites must have English translations and updated information will further help turning Shenzhen into an international city.
