24th China Watch and Clock Fair to Feature Watches Used in Space
An annual watch and clock fair will be held in Shenzhen this Thursday that will feature the watches that were used by the astronauts on board the Shenzhou-10 spacecraft together with the latest watch designs, watches, clocks and other timepiece technology for overseas leading brands.
Also together with the limited edition space watchers that was produces by Fiyta a Shenzhen brand, the 24th China Watch and Clock Fair showcases more than 500 watch brands from 20 countries and regions and is expected to attract 60,000 buyers from 50 countries and regions. The watch fairs is regarded asChina’s most premier exhibition for the timepiece sector and set aside an exhibition zone that only for Swiss brands. Also highlighted in this year’s fair are nouveaux grade brands fromSwitzerland ranging from Genevo, Evilard, Pilo&Co, and Etoile. Other Swiss brands such as Geneve and Badec will be débuting in this year’s fair as well.
Forums and seminars on topics on new trends in the timepiece industry will ge held in the four day watch fair. Keynote speakers are Mario Peserico, who is the chairman of the Italian Timepieces Manufacturers and Dealers Federation, Uwe Staib the Chairman of the Federation of the German Jewelry and Guan Rounchang the president of the Malaysia Watch Trade Association.
Executive vice president of the Shenzhen Watch and Clock Association and fair organizer Zhu Shunhua, said tha Shenzhen mad watches and clocks accounts for 60 percent of the country’s total market share and that Shenzhen is the biggest watch and clock manufacturing center in China with around a thousand clock and watch making firms in the city with an annual production of more than 10 billion yuan.
