Discounts Help Fuel Travel Plans to Europe
With the depreciation of the euro and travel discounts help fuel resident’s enthusiasm for booking summer trips to Europe. Local travel agencies said that around 6,000 people have already used their services to booked package trips to Europe, 500 people planned trips to Australia and 400 had booked for New Zealand. All of this package tours where all schedule to leave in July and August.
Travel insiders also said that they have seen a decline in domestic sales since the European tourist market along with the retail and hospitality industry is offering favorable discounts and upgraded services in attracting Chinese tourists. Summer travel is maintaining its popularity because of the large number of residents booking and planning overseas trips. Dubai is also becoming a popular destination along with Kenya which seen a 50 percent increase in package trips. Residents prefer to travel in the summer since they can travel with their family and get away from work at the same time.
While Europe is attracting Chinese tourists, Taiwan is also increasing its appeal to residents as well. One travel agency said that their package tour to Taiwan which costs between 3,000 to 6,000 yuan are sold out and still people keep coming to book tours for August.
