Two Railway Stations to be Constructed Along Shenzhen-Maoming High Speed Line
The city will be setting up two stations namely Airport North Station and the Shenzhen North Railway Station along the Shenzhen-Maoming high speed rail line as stated by the Guangzhou Railway Group who is responsible for constructing the coastal railway in the western Guangdong Province. The railway is almost 400 kilometers long with 18 stations, five of which are elevated and one underground which will be the Airport North Station.
The construction plans were already approved by the National Development and Reform Commission that stated the railway project will cost around 51 billion yuan starts from the Shenzhen North Railway Station and will run north of Dongguan. It will also go over a bridge south of Humen Bridge then works it s way to Zhongshan, Yangjiang, Jiangmen before ending in Maoming.
The Guangzhou Railway Group also released an environmental impact report that states the bridge is 14 kilometers long with six lanes for vehicles and two lanes for rails for trains. The construction of the bridge will take about 60 months but no news is released yet on when the project will start.
