City to See Occasional Rainfall Over the Weekend
Residents are advised to cut back on their outdoor activities this weekend as the city meteorological observatory reported torrential rain in parts of the city with temperature around 25 degrees Celsius with occasional rain showers today until Sunday. The rain is attributed to the moist weather patterns coming from South China Sea.
In Yantian district have already reported rainfall measurement of 40.4 millimeters whiles some regions reported rainfall if 100 milliliters. This occasional rainfall has already caused a section of Xinzhou Road in Futain to be seriously waterlogged causing resident to detour around the flooding.
The meteorological observatory also said that the consistent rainfall will create hazardous situations in the city and is advising residents to avoid water logged areas, hillsides, unstable buildings, reservoirs and river banks. Drivers are also advised not to use tunnels or park in water logged areas.
Cities around the Pearl River Delta region will also see heavy rain over the weekend.
