Residents Can Take New Bus Route to Tuen Mun Town Center
The new B3M bus route has a new terminal in Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint and residents can now take it directly to Tuen Mun Town Center in Hong Kong. The new route was placed in operation by CityBus will share the same route and fare as the B3 and B3X buses plying the Tuen Mun Town Center via San Hui Market. The new bus service will operate daily from 9:50 am to 7:50 pm with a 30 minute interval.
But a lot of mainlanders don’t know of the new B3M route and a few days ago a queue of mainland residents were seen waiting for buses for their return trip to Shenzhen at Tuen Mun Town Center bus stop. The wait was even worse as the passengers were standing in the scorching afternoon heat. They only knew of the new routs after being informed by bus drivers. One resident said that the new route will shorten their waiting time for buses and might even change their shopping habits.
Buses coming from Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint going to Tuen Mun take 20 minutes, and in 2007 Hong Kong Opened the B3, B3A and B3X bus routes.
To further attract shoppers and help ease congestion, the intervals for the B3 Buses is increased to 20 minutes from 1:40 pm to 2:40 pm starting last July 21st. the B3A buses to Shenzhen Bay Checkpoint was also increased to 20 minute intervals from 12:15 pm to 2:15 pm.
