Annual Charity Fair to Serve as Platform for Social Organizations
This Saturday the second annual China Charity Fair will open in Shenzhen and will serve as the platform for social organizations across the globe to come and share their experiences in handling and running charities and at the same time interact with visitors through charitable activities.
The charity fair will also promote closer ties within the government departments, the public and business entities to foster a multi-stakeholder partnership, cooperative projects, exchange of information and academic collaborations. For this year around 828 exhibitors will be present to display projects and share their experiences. The charity fair will be divided into eight sections namely social organizations, disaster rescue and relief, collaboration between international foundations, cooperation between enterprises, innovation, charitable cities, environmental protection and interaction.
This year the fair also aims to strengthen local charity sector using seminars conducted by overseas counterparts represented by participants of the United Nations Development Program and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Overseas organizations participating in the fair had successful experiences in the recent years in handling charitable projects, training new talents and providing lessons to Chinese counterparts.
