For the past five years the team has been involved in rescue work at the Ya’an earthquake. They also been involved in search and rescue of lost people in mountainous areas in Dapeng Peninsula plus they lend a hand in the recent flood relief rescue in Shantou and Heyuan.
The members of the newly formed organization selected Cao Jun of the Shenzhen Outdoor Mountaineering Association to be the new chief of the Shenzhen Volunteer Rescue Association.
