Bus runs into sidewalk in Shekou

Thanks to our Xpat community – we received this picture from yesterday morning. On Sunday around 10am a bus swerved into the sidewalk right in front of the Shuiwan Metro station at the corner of Pedestrian Street and Shui Wan Road in Shekou. This is a very crowded area.

If you have kids who ride their bikes or electric motorbikes – pls show them this picture as many of them never wear their helmets. Kids need to wear their helmets when they ride their bides or use motorbikes. Let them know how easy it is to be hit by a car or bus.

We are still trying to find out if there are fatalities but the Xpat that took the picture said that there was an ambulance and the injuries to at least one person looked very serious. We do not know if the injured included any foreigners.

If anyone else has seen this accident – please tell the rest of the Xpat community and keep us informed.
