Basketball Team Enjoyed Visiting Tourist Sites before Exhibition Games
The Los Angeles Lakers took some time and went to see the Great Wall of China a few days before their exhibition game. The players spent around two hours on a section on a wall and were greeted more than your typical tourist.
As the players were walking around they were quickly recognized and started to draw crowds of admirers who sought their autographs and have picture taken. The prompted that team’s security asked the players not to stay long in one place or risk being overcome by the crowd of admirers. Paul Gasol said that this was different from what they usually experiences as Chinese fans are straight forward and shows much excitement when seeing their favorite basketball stars.
The visit is part of an event for the Lakers who along with the Golden State Warriors will be playing an exhibition game in Beijing tonight and in Shanghai on Friday. Both teams took some time off for some sightseeing and enjoy a few days for rest and relaxation.
