New Policies to Give Private Sectors More Range in Health Services
The policy guidelines in the development of private health services are aimed to develop the sector in becoming a trillion yuan industry by 2020. The policies covers the finance, equitable treatment and the market access of State run service providers and will create a much favorable place for private capital in the industry. A change in the guidelines is that private investment is now eligible in participating in the industry which was forbidden at first. The policy also stipulates that non local investments will be enjoying the same market access which is being enjoyed by local private investors.
In 2009 the government released a series of health care reforms that expanded to public medical insurance that help in the upgrade of hospitals and other treatment facilities. The new guidelines will also help address the problems in the health care services to further meet the needs of the people while the provisions of basic care is still being shouldered by the government.
Also based on the new policy any health care services that are funded by private capital will also be eligible for financial aid from the government.
