The hostel started its operations last month have 24 available spaces for graduates looking for work where they can stay up to seven days for free.

The secretary general of the Futian Youth League Li Jie stated that the league decided to initiate the project to accommodate the number of young people that are coming to the city to find work and they hope that this will attract more talent as well. The league will be providing the graduates with maps and recruitment information and after they leave the hostel they will still be receiving updates until they get hired. The hostel is a commercial guesthouse located in downtown Futian. The hostel has 50 rooms in which three will be used for the free service. Each room has its own desk, air conditioning and bathroom. The hostel also provides free Wi-Fi.

Thousands of graduates visit Shenzhen every year to search for work, and one of their complaints is that they can’t find a affordable and safe place to stay. The hostel is also close to groceries, fast food restaurants and bus stops making it convenient and safe. Although the hostel is still on the test phase further changes might be made in the futures to provide better services.
