New Airport Terminal to Feature New and Improved Facilties
A hundred residents were invited to take part of one of the two hours to learn more on the facilities and operation of the new terminal C at the Shenzhen International Airport. The first one will be on Saturday and the next will be held on November 17.
Residents interested to join the tour on November 17 can send in their email along with their name, contact number, ID information together with a photo of their ID card. Residents should also indicate if they will be driving themselves or use the Metro. The new terminal is said to feature a lot of new and improved facilities that were not offered in the other terminals.
Passengers that are handicapped or using wheelchairs will need to take shuttle buses to boarding gates. The new terminal has numerous of these ramps installed in bus areas. Separate stalls of people with disabilities are built in the restrooms at the new terminals and elevators are conveniently fond near escalators. Waiting lounges are designed without hazards such as gaps between seats to prevent any injuries among travelers using the lounges.
Based on international designs the new terminal also features playgrounds for children near boarding gates 25 and 26 that offers separate nursing rooms for mothers and babies in every restrooms which is located every 200 meters. These nursing rooms are fully equipped with milk warmers, chairs and changing tables. Four emergency aid stations are also located on each floor of the terminal. A prayer room is also located at the departure hall on the terminal’s third floor.
