Management Firm Opens New Office in Shenzhen
McKinsey a global management firm on consulting has opened their latest office in Shenzhen last Friday and their third office on the Chinese mainland after Beijing and Shanghai and its 107th office globally. The city has been a forefront of reforms in china and is leading in the shift from the workshop of an innovation center with globally leading companies.
The Shenzhen office focuses on businesses opportunities in the booming services in the private sector in the city and within the Pearl River Delta region. Based on company’s research 60 percent of the corporate revenue in Shenzhen is generated by the service related industry compared to the 27 percent in Beijing and 37 percent in Shanghai. These firms have their own compositions and differ from other major commercial center found in China and Shenzhen has a lowest share of state owned firms.
The revenues generated of these Shenzhen firm accounts for 35 percent from publicly listed companies and 20 percent corporate revenues generated by privately own companies. Most of the successful Chinese companies that are created and developed in Shenzhen and became the source of continued economic growth in the Country. Many believe that the city is a great place the depth of McKinsey impact on China.
