Passengers Asked to Arrive Earlier to Allow Enough Time for Security Checks
As the new airport terminal C prepares for its operations on November 28, passengers are constantly reminding to arrive at the airport earlier to allow ample time for security checks before boarding their flights since it will take around 30 minutes by foot to reach the farthest boarding gate.
Airlines will also be closing gates 15 minutes before time of departure. Passengers should be at least two hours early to complete security check and check in and still have enough time to reach their boarding gates. Passengers can use check in services located at eight areas on the fourth floor of the departure hall and after going through the process passengers can proceed to the third floor for their departures. Passengers in transit to connecting flights can use these services at the arrival hall.
In case of flight delays the transit passengers, airport employees will assist the passengers to the waiting area or boarding gates without passing through security checks.
Passengers from international flights in transit still need to claim their baggage at the arrival hall to be inspected by customs if they have items to declare. They have to go to the fourth floor check in area before proceeding to the third floor for international departures. Passengers without anything to declare can check in at the luggage area and then proceed to the third floor of the international departure hall to go through security checks and customs.
