Police to Closely Monitor Roads going to Shenzhen’s New Airport Terminal
Airport authorities will be issuing ticket to drivers who drop their passengers in front of the departure hall at the new Terminal C at the Shenzhen International Airport for more than two minutes. The fine for illegal parking is set at 500 yuan and to avoid being fined driver are advised to park their vehicles in lots P1, P2 or P3 which has more than 4,000 parking lots available.
Traffic and airport police will have 20 officers along with 30 tow trucks on standby at the airport. To assist drivers on the transition of using the airport’s south road and other major road going to the new terminal exit to the south road going to Bao’an Boulevard and the 107 national highway will be closed to traffic. Drivers who encounter vehicular trouble can call emergency numbers if they can leave the departure hall on the required two minutes.
14 set of monitoring cameras and plate recognition system are installed at the terminal area and on roads going to the terminal. Shuttle buses at intersections will be given priority on roads that links to Houri Metro Station. To access the new terminal drivers can take the Guangzhou-Shenzhen Expressway via the Hezhou Flyover which is the main route from downtown going to the airport. Other can take the Fuyong Toll Station then onto Hangzhan Road to Airport South Road. Jihe Expressway can also be used to access the airport via Hezhou Flyover.
