The book center will be having its final sale starting tomorrow and is set to attract a lot of shoppers that are looking for discounts on books. Avid visitors and buyers of the store came to take pictures and buy several of their favorite books as a way of saying goodbye to the store.
The store will be hosting several more Reading Month activities and once those are complete the store will be completely closed for good. The store has been struggling for some years now are more people are purchasing e-books or books online. Since books are considered are cultural products, the store should be getting preferential policies from the government in taxes and rent.
Books stores can no longer survive just by selling books there should be cultural centers that allow customers to come in to read books and relax and meet new friends. Shenzhen a city is city of 14 million and the city needs more book stores wherein people can come in and rest mentally.
