Grammatical Error on Universiade Tower CorrectedTwo and a half years since the summertime collegiate sports event in the city the grammatical mistakes that was placed on the Universaide Cauldron Tower in Nanshan was corrected. The incorrect use of the English language ordinal numbers that were written as 1th, 2th and 3th drew public attention since the tower was erected at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center. Several citizens have pointed out the mistakes that should be read as 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

  1. Jasmin,

It is ironic that you should write an article about incorrect grammar and then you yourself make a grammatical error!

You wrote “Two and a half years since the summertime collegiate sports event in the city the grammatical mistakes that WAS placed on the Universaide Cauldron Tower in Nanshan was corrected”

The correct grammar is “Two and a half years since the summertime collegiate sports event in the city the grammatical mistakes that WERE placed on the Universaide Cauldron Tower in Nanshan HAVE BEEN corrected”

Besides that your grammar is normally quite good

    Regards,

    Peter L
