Ground Breaking Ceremonies on City Projects Initiated
Construction of more than 30 projects in the city is well on the way as announced by Shenzhen Party chief Wang Rong as groundbreaking ceremonies were held which included the construction of the 11.2 kilometer Pingyan Passage that extends from Pingshan New Area to Yantian District
The 30 projects are scattered in four areas ranging from infrastructure, public livelihood, emerging industries and urban renovation, around 3.3 billion yuan is set side and will be used on six public livelihood projects that will include a cultural complex, a city level nursing home and a city level social welfare center in Central Pingshan. Furthermore an additional 9 billion yuan is spent on eight other infrastructure projects namely the Liantang Checkpoint, a natural gas facility, a water treatment palnt and the recently started Pingyan Passage. Also around 30 billion yuan will be used in developing emerging industries that includes a new high tech production line and a building that will be used in technology research and development in Guangming New Area.
Several other key projects that are included in the budget are two museums, the Children’s Palace and Book City Store in Longgang. Plus a restoration project in Bao’an and another water treatment plant in Guangming. Throughout the development of the projects the quality and safety is one of the concerns that are included in the design, construction and project planning.
