China Mobile to Start Selling iPhones as Both Companies Signed Cooperation Agreements
China Mobile finally signed cooperation agreements with Apple Inc allowing the world’s biggest telecom carrier to carry the popular smart phone. China Mobile has a user base of around 760 million users and the company’s six long years of continuous courtship and negotiations with Apple finally bear fruit and both companies reached a deal last December 31.
Based on the agreement, China Mobile will be selling the iPhone 5S and 5C smart phone under their 4g network on the chine mainland in January 17 with a fixed contract price of 5,488 yuan for a 16GB handset and users can choose of a monthly payment ranging from 138 yuan to 588 yuan. The number of pre orders for the iPhone which the company started offering in December has already exceeded one million which made the company confident that the sales of the China Mobile iPhone will exceed the expectations of other companies.
Instead of restricting the handset business both companies can look into other opportunities that is presented by the booming mobile internet industry which is slowly giving pushing rapid development of technologies and adding various business fields.
