Shenzhen is One of Nine Most Livable Cities in China
In a recent survey that was conducted by a non-governmental organization has shown that Shenzhen was ranked No. 82 in the World’s 100 most livable cities. Shenzhen is one of the nine Chinese cities that were included in the list.
The organization determines the rankings based on good social security and infrastructure. Most of the city’s qualities helped Shenzhen in garnering a spot on the most livable cities list. However, Shenzhen lags behind in terms of health care, education, culture and environment. Shenzhen is well known for its rapid infrastructure construction. Infrastructure development in various districts has led to the integration of four areas into a newly expanded special economic zone, namely Longgang, Bao’an, Pingshan and Guangming.
For ten years, The Economist Intelligence Unit a British NGO have ranked the World’s most livable cities, Vancouver has retained the No. 1 spot for five years in a row, followed by Melbourne, Toronto, Vienna and Calgary. Hong Kong got the No. 31 spot on the list, the highest ranking among the Chinese cities followed by Tianjin, Suzhou, Beijing, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Dalian, Qingdao and Guangzhou.
