Two Cities to Strengthen Ties by Signing More AgreementsMacau and Shenzhen signed documents that will strengthen cooperation and trade, economy and tourism exchanges. There will be two agreements to be signed and one of the agreements is calling for both cities to organize all entrepreneurs and professional to see each other frequently.

More Macau enterprises will be encouraged by Shenzhen to come and invest in the several fields such as medical care finance and logistics. These enterprises will also look into the field of service institution such as architectural design and law to further develop the Qianhai area that is found adjacent to Nanshan. Shenzhen and Macau are planning to deepen their cooperation in the tourism industry.

The chief executive for Macau Chui Sai On stated during a meeting with Shenzhen Mayor Xu Qin said that both cities are gradually expanding cooperation in the fields of culture and education and other areas that centers on the well being of its residents. The close cooperation will be beneficial to both cities.

Macau has played an important and unique role in the exchange and cooperation between Chinese cities and Portuguese speaking countries, furthermore Shenzhen is hoping to strengthen more cooperation with Portuguese speaking countries through Macau. Imports coming form Shenzhen from Macau increases by 60 percent last year and the city’s direct investments in Macau has tripled last year. Also the number of Macau invested projects in Shenzhen has also increased by 60 percent in 2013.
