Huawei Predicts More Sales as Company Focuses on High End Devices
Huawei Technologies have predicted that it will be selling around 100 million smart phones before the year ends which is twice as much smart phone that was sold in 2013. The high number based as the company is focusing its attention in selling their higher end devices. The company’s deputy chairman at their Shenzhen base and the rotating chief executive officer, Eric Yu stated that Huawei will sell 80 to a hundred million of its higher end phones in 2014
Yu also stated that the company is far from being a dominant player as their strategy is to build the brand and if the brand will become as strong as Apple and Samsung then they can charge the same price and be as competitive. Huawei is relying more on their mobile devices as the company fought off security concerns that restricted their access to its network equipment in Australia and United States.
Huawei is boosting its worldwide smart phone shipment up to 68 percent as of last year bring it shipment a total of 50 million devices. Last year’s sales trailed Apple and Samsung and is fast growing at the company’s market share has increase to 4.9 percent from 4 percent in 2012.
