China Names Shenzhen its Model City for E-Commerce
Shenzhen is China’s first model city for e-commerce, and in turn Shenzhen has a fast growing e-business network which promoted industrial updates and economic growth. To further develop cooperation with enterprises in the e-commerce industry, Shenzhen created beneficial policies and special funding that subsidizes e-commerce enterprises and forming alliances.
Currently there are six major industrial parks in Shenzhen that houses its e-commerce enterprises. These parks are the Tian’an Cyber Park, the High Tech Park, Futian International E-Commerce Industrial Park. The Shekou Cyber Valley and other internet based industries have based thei offices in Nanshan and Louhu Districts.
During the national e-commerce meeting in Shenzhen, experts are saying that trade volume of the city’s e-commerce will exceed 300 billion yuan by 2013.
