Once renovations are done Xuegang Road, Guanlan Boulevard and Jihua Road will be interconnected with the expressway and is renamed as Meiguan Boulevard. The north to south Meiguan Expressway will run through the central area of Shenzhen, although most of the city residents especially those living in the Bantian and Longhua area needs to make a detour just to gain access to the expressway since surrounded by fences.
