Passengers to Enjoy Free Wi-Fi on Metro Rails Soon
Passengers taking the Luobao, Shekou and Huangzhong Metro Lines will be enjoying the free Wi-Fi services that will be offered starting by the end of the month. the plans of offer the Wi-Fi was announced by the project contractor Shenzhen Southern Galaxy Technology Co. during the China Information Technology Exhibition.
Wi-Fi services on the Longhua Line are still being tested and will soon be available to the public before the year ends. Meanwhile the Wi-Fi network is already completed in Longgang Line but services is yet to be announced. To avail of the free Wi-Fi services passengers taking the Metro rail needs to sign in and connect with the MyWiFi hotspot once they enter any Metro station.
The Wi-Fi network services is provided and develop by the Kuang Chi group together with the cooperation of Vision China Media Group, one of China’s biggest mobile TV operator in providing the services on public transportation ranging from trains to buses in 89 Chinese cities. Shenzhen will be the first city to provide free Wi-Fi on its public buses before the year ends.
Kuang Chi sign the Wi-Fi cooperative agreements with several enterprises in the IT industry, telecommunications, finance and media to further develop the project that involves free Wi-Fi services and photonic pay services.
