Application Process for Second Child Policy Simplified
Couples seeking the approval for a second child will find out that the application process will be quicker and simpler compared to the past once the new policy adopted as stated by the health and family planning commission.
The new policy will reduce the process requirements for the application for a second child and shorten it as well. The Guangdong provincial authorities have also adopted the same policy as Shenzhen. The city adopted the policy last March 27 and now permits qualified local couples to have another child as long as either parent was born an only child.
Before the applicants are asked to obtain official documents from places where the have registered permanent residency just to prove that they are an only child. The applicants are also asked that their second child application form must be stamped by their employers as stated in the previous policy. The newer policy took away the two procedures and applicants are only required to turn in their ID cards, marriage certificates, household registration cards and a family planning service certificates along with their second child application form when applying.
Also during submitting the new policy reduces the 25 day public scrutiny period which will allow qualified applicants to obtain an official approval in just a few days. In lieu of the streamlined process, future applicants are asked to sign a statement that confirms they understanding of the fact that they will be punished if they provide false information.
