Drivers Caught Parking Illegally Near Exhibition Center to be Fined
During the 10th China International Cultural Industries Fair, drivers caught parking alongside roads including Binhe Road, Yitian Road, Jintian Road, Fuhua No. 1 and Fuhua No. 3 Roads and Central No. 2 Road around the Shenzhen Convention Center which is the main venue for the fair will be fined 500 yuan. If the parking is found to be illegal and causes traffic congestion, the fine will be increased to 1,000 yuan.
Compared to the previous years, traffic police will not be imposing traffic controls and restriction during the fair that will start tomorrow until Monday, but instead will be dispatching 1,800 police officers and 180 tow vehicles to patrol and be on duty every day until the fair ends. Vehicles that enter the parking areas of the convention and exhibition center must first provide certificates to the traffic police before they are allowed to enter.
Drivers with vehicles that were towed away can call a hotline to inquire on where to get their vehicles. And visitors that need assistance can also call two hotlines that offer help in English. Drivers can park their vehicles at the Civic Center Parking Lot and Honey Lake Parking Lot then take the Metro to the fair. Visitors can then take either the Luobao or Longhua Line then get off at the convention and exhibition center station. Or they can take the Longgang or Luobao line then stop at the Shopping Park station.
