Platform Created to Help Identify Foreign Laws in Qianhai
The first platform for identifying foreign laws was unveiled in Qianhai yesterday a 15 kilometer coastal strip just adjacent to Nanshan. Qianhai is being developed into a modern service industry hub by Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
The Shenzhen Lanhai Modern Legal Service Development Center which is supported by the justice bureau is a non profit, nongovernmental entity that was established earlier. And a few months of exploration the center was able to draw up a preliminary plan for a mechanism in identifying foreign laws and a meeting was held a few days earlier to gather opinions of experts. According to experts 80 percent on Hong Kong related cases are handled in Guangdong which is in contract to Hong Kong laws as it only applied to less than 10 percent of the cases that are handled in the mainland.
The creation od the development center will provide an effective channel for the identification of Hong Kong laws. Furthermore Tang Zhijiang the vice head for the Qianhai Administration Bureau stated that the center will be a big help in promoting the integration of Hong Kong and Shenzhen which is crucial for handling business disputes in Qianhai.
